Pork Stir-Fry with Aromatic White Wine
If you’re looking for a traditional Greek pork recipe that is easy, quick, and full of flavor, this pork stir-fry with white wine will delight you. It’s perfect for a Sunday family meal but also great for everyday home cooking.
✅ Ingredients for 4 servings:

800g pork neck or shoulder, cut into bite-sized pieces

1 large onion, finely chopped

2 garlic cloves
-
1 pepper (red or green), sliced (optional)

½ cup extra virgin olive oil
-
1 glass (150 ml) dry white wine (ideally Mavropetritis or Ampelikos)

1 tsp oregano
-
1 tsp thyme
-
Juice of ½ lemon
-
Salt & pepper
-
Optional: mustard, a pinch of smoked paprika
Instructions:

In a deep frying pan or pot, sauté the pork in the olive oil over high heat until browned on all sides.

Add the onion and garlic and continue sautéing for 2-3 minutes.

Deglaze with the white wine and let the alcohol evaporate for 1-2 minutes.

Add the herbs, salt, pepper, and if desired, mustard or paprika.

Lower the heat, cover, and simmer for about 30-40 minutes until the meat is tender and the sauce thickens.

Just before finishing, add the lemon juice.
Serve with:

French fries or mashed potatoes

Pilaf or rice

Rustic bread to dip in the sauce

Accompanied by Mavropetritis Dry White Wine
Tips for success:

The better quality the wine, the better the flavor of the dish.

For bolder flavors, add a little honey mustard or rosemary.
